Good book for pastors of established churches & good wisdom. A good read & easy to read with good application.
Sam Rainer addresses a need in church revitalization. If the many plateaued and dying churches are going to become healthy and growing, then pastors need encouragement that it can be done, and this book provides that encouragement, as well as some good advice.
Pastors and lay leaders should read this book for a better understanding of "The established church dynamic". We are to become all things to all people so we can reach more. We are in the world but not of the world. We must be reminded that every tradition was a change for somebody sometime in history.
I pastor an established church. I have been there almost 16 years and needed this fresh challenge and perspective .the illustrations I believe every pastor can relate.

This book has some really good stuff on being the pastor of an established church. It is real talk, and does not just hand you a bunch of problems but also gives you some realistic solutions on overcoming them. 5 bucks on kindle is a steal.
This is the best book to explain the mind-set of the established church. If you are in a church that is over 50 years old, this is a must read!
Rainer shares a timely and incredible message of hope and determination. Established church pastors need to know that God is on your side, even when it seems as though no one else is. This book will rekindle your passion to help the church be everything God intended it to be.
